Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart

When I graduated from college, I thought I would never again find a campus that was as serene and beautiful as Swarthmore, but Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart was all that and more. I felt a sense of peace as soon as I set foot on the campus, and the librarian and teachers made me feel so welcome. It was clear to me that this is a school where books, art, and natural beauty are valued and celebrated. I was introduced by a student who had some insightful comments about how José Martí embodied strong values, and I got some wonderful (and challenging) questions from the other students. I am very grateful to have shared this morning with the school community. Thank you Ms. Fernandez and everyone at Carrollton for making this lovely visit possible!
