WOW!!! I was blown away by the readers at Notre Dame Academy. These students came prepared with questions, and they were eager to show me the other books they were reading. They made powerful text-to-text connections. A truly diverse classroom, the students talked to me about their own families’ immigration experiences and heroes. I walked away with hand-drawn posters and a room full of new friends.
