I visited the dual language immersion program at P.S. 87 and presented in Spanish. I was impressed by fifth graders who connected José Martí with Thomas Paine, and Kindergarteners who recited “Cultivo una rosa blanca” and made white paper roses. What lucky students to learn in this bilingual environment!
